My practice is personal, almost medicinal, but never selfish. An aesthetic expression of my soul. I am awed by language and the power it has to organize one’s mind.
I constantly write by hand with the intention of downloading ideas, process emotions and events, organize my thoughts and as a way of praying.
I enter a state of flow, with sudden realizations on how much I love the sound of graphite on paper.
The pieces range from collages of watercolor, fabric and acrylic in small, medium and large formats. To natural fabrics hand dyed and scribbled, frayed and positioned in abstract shapes. Jewelry in gems, gold and silver as well as watercolor and ceramics.
It’s a PROCESS into finding a visual language for my words. A journey of self discovery.
